Facilities at Steynshoop Mountain Lodge
WiFi
For the convenience of guests, WiFi is enabled, with its own hotspot. Arrangements for capacity may be made at Reception. Please note that WiFi usage will be charged at R70.00 per GB or R1.00 per MB.
Swimming
There is a magnificent 22m rim-flow pool and sun loungers on the pool terrace with its spectacular views.
Tennis, Volleyball, Badminton
Guests have access to a nearby all-weather, floodlit tennis court, volleyball and badminton facilities on the adjoining Steynshoop Valley Lodge, which is under common ownership with Steynshoop Mountain Lodge.
Croquet
There is a fully laid-out croquet lawn and croquet implements are available on request.
Boule
This may be played in the boma, which has a sand floor. A boule set is available on request.
Billiards/Snooker
There is a full-size billiard table at the adjoining Steynshoop Valley Lodge, and arrangements can be made for its use.
Archery
The lodge is equipped with bows and arrows and a target range, for use by guests.
Walking & Hiking
There are a variety of walks on the estate from 2-4 hours, including magnificent mountain hikes and walks through indigenous bush and forest including thousands of natural protea trees.
Bird Watching
At Steynshoop Mountain Lodge there is prolific bird life – for example there are frequent sightings of Cape Vultures, of which there is a cliff-side nesting colony less than five kilometres from the lodge, and Black Eagles, with a nesting pair near the lodge.
Library
Well-stocked bookshelves create a cosy atmosphere in the loft. Sink into cushioned comfort and enjoy the variety of interesting books.
Television Lounge
With satellite television (and all bedrooms have television with DSTV).
Film Library
There is an extensive DVD library for the use of guests. All bedrooms are equipped with DVD players.
Conference Room
Fully equipped to cater for small groups for executive meetings or private clubs (up to 12 persons).

Further accommodation and facilities are available for larger groups at the immediately adjoining Steynshoop Valley Lodge (shown on this website) which is under common ownership with Steynshoop Mountain Lodge and Game Farm. This has an additional conference centre, flood-lit all-weather tennis court, volleyball and badminton facilities, a full-size billiard room and landscaped gardens with water features and dams.
