Steynshoop Magaliesberg Conference Venues
Steynshoop is situated on a game farm in the Magaliesberg nature reserve, just over an hour’s drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria. Surrounded by mountains and bush, there are no neighbours in sight – the perfect setting for small private conferences. Here, you can re-invigorate your team and work on strategy or training.
Each of our lodges (or both) can be booked on an exclusive use basis for your conference, so that there will be no other guests present during your stay.
Together, our lodges have capacity for small groups of 4 – 22 people.

We are known for our good food, which is fresh and individually prepared. We are happy to cater for any special dietary requirements.
Conference delegates enjoy “lekker, gesellige” braais in our boma and three-course dinners. Good coffee and a hearty breakfast always start the day on the right note.
Team Activities
We find that hard-working people most enjoy socialising at the boma that looks over the valley.
We have a big lawn for team building activities, 3 swimming pools, croquet, tennis and a billiard table. Many guests enjoy our hiking trails, we recommend the “Big Tree Sunrise Walk”.

We have two separate venues that are 1.5 km apart, set within a nature reserve. Each lodge is self-contained and offers distinct advantages.

Mountain Lodge
A more intimate venue with an “Out of Africa” style guest house, an edge pool, large boma and conference room.
Accommodates up to 9 people. Bedrooms are tastefully furnished, with en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and DSTV.
Valley Lodge
Larger, Cape style manor House with adjoining buildings. Valley Lodge has a function hall, 2 swimming pools, a dam and sports / entertainment area.
Accommodates up to 13 people. Bedrooms are decorated in neutrals, with en-suite bathrooms and DSTV.
Together, both lodges can accommodate up to 22 people.
